Newsletter December 2025 - the Early 2026 concerts
Dear fellow music lover,
Our next series of concerts is a little different. It is a bit earlier in the year than usual, there is a new, very exciting offer when you book, and the special full length concert is the first one, not the usual finale. It’s a concert you won’t want to miss though – the Aquinas Piano Trio, an ensemble which delighted us on its last visit in 2019. Aquinas is a wonderful trio and will play lovely works by Beethoven, Martin and. Mendelssohn.

January can be such a miserable month – cold and dark and a bit flat once the Christmas decorations have been packed away. We hope to cheer you through to brighter days with Sunday afternoons of wonderful music and we hope the concert programme has something for everyone – it’s certainly very varied!
Voice takes us from medieval music, via folk songs, to vocal arrangements of more modern pieces. The one constant is their pure, clear, bell like sound – it stopped me in my tracks when I first heard it on the radio.
Sofia Ros’s sound world couldn’t be more different! In her hands the classical accordion is able to represent the sound of an organ, an orchestra or a samba band!
If you have never been to an accordion recital before, this will be the ideal introduction. This concert is sponsored by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
The final concert is Meet the Viol. Not sure what a viol is? Then you need to come on March 8 and find out!
Finally, our exciting offer – for this season only. As usual, you have a very significant discount if you subscribe to all four concerts. This time, in addition, for every subscription purchased, we are offering an extra (free) ticket to a one hour concert (not the special full length concert).
